The research project focuses on modification of surfaces with organic molecules and metal atoms for syntheses of two-dimensional metalorganic frameworks serving as model catalysts for activation of carbon dioxide and water. Our lab is fully equipped with state-of-the-art investigation techniques, such as scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and other surface spectroscopies.
We are looking for a highly motivated person ready to work independently as well as with our international research team. The ideal candidate should have a master’s degree in physics or chemistry. A background in ultrahigh vacuum technology or scanning probe technology is an advantage. Very good knowledge of English (oral and written) is mandatory, knowledge of German would be an advantage.The position is funded for 4 years and the foreseen starting date is 1st January 2021.
