Your Tasks:Collaboration and work package lead in an 3-year industrial R&D project in the field of polymer composites cables for civil engineering applications. The position focusses on the numerical simulation and experiments related to the development of a novel CFRP anchorage device for parallel wire cables (CFRP wires) focusing on long-term behavior, damage mechanisms and fatigue behavior. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to lead and acquire engineering and experimental service projects for industrial customers in the areas of mechanical characterization of polymers and FRP composites. Scientific publishing is expected after completion of the R&D project.
We offer an international, highly stimulating research environment with excellent infrastructure and broad interdisciplinary surroundings with plenty of possibilities for personal and professional development. The contract will be limited initially to three years.
