You can prove to be a self-motivated experimentalist with a recent MSc degree in science or an engineering discipline related to lasers, lithography, chemistry or spectroscopy. You have proven hands-on creative skills with experimental setups. Excellent degree in English in spoken and written is mandatory. Knowledge of German is preferred. Skills with signal processing, lab-view programming, laser monitoring, and spectroscopy design are appreciated.
Review of applications begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled. The start date is upon mutual agreement, as the position is already available. The appointment is initially for one year, with yearly evaluation. The PhD degree is obtained at the University of Zurich, Graduate School for Chemical and Molecular Science. A teaching commitment at the University is expected.
